How buyers place orders

Placing an order on Order41 is simple, intuitive and fast. There is no learning curve for new buyers.

How it works

Sellers and sales reps share a link to a collection or an order draft with the buyer. The buyer opens the link, edits the selected items if needed, and places the order right away.

Giving buyers access

-

Buyers get access through a link: a link to a collection, a link to an order draft, or an invite link to your account.

-

The most common way to onboard a new buyer is to share a link to a collection.

-

You decide who can see each collection. Most collections are shared with a public link, so anyone who has the link can open it. You can also restrict a collection to specific buyers, so only they can open it.

-

Standard buyer accounts are always free, so buyers never pay to order from you.

Signing in

Buyers sign in with their work email and a six-digit code, so there is no password to set or remember.

There is no account to set up and no profile to complete. To place their first order, buyers only need to verify their work email, which keeps signing up as quick as possible.

Browsing and building an order draft

-

A shared collection opens straight to its products, ready to browse. Buyers also have a list of every collection shared with them, so they can come back to any of them later.

-

To start an order, buyers just click a product. There is nothing else to set up.

-

Sellers decide which custom data fields buyers can see, for example a delivery date. These fields show straight away on every order draft and order.

-

Currencies and special prices are always set by the seller, so buyers see the right prices without doing anything. Order41 supports every currency in use worldwide. See Price lists and currencies.

Placing the order

-

Before placing the order, buyers can leave an order comment and select details such as a shipping address or billing address.

-

Once the order draft is reviewed, it can be placed by the buyer, the seller or a sales rep.

-

The buyer usually gets an order confirmation by email straight away, with the order attached as a PDF and as an Excel sheet.

After ordering

Buyers can always find all their orders in their own account under Orders, along with the status of each one.

Each order's detail page also works as an export hub. Buyers find everything they need around what they ordered there: order confirmations, image data and product data exports, for example a Shopify import file.

If you collect payments through Stripe, buyers can pay for an order by card from the order page. See Collect payments.
