Price lists let you sell the same products at different prices to different customers, in the currency each customer buys in. Unlimited price lists, customer and group pricing, and prices set per currency are included on every plan from Pro upward.
Every price in Order41 is managed on the product. Whatever price you set, you set it on the product, so opening one product shows you every price it has and who gets it, no matter which drop it currently sits in.
This is deliberate. When price lists hang off drops or collections instead, moving a product between them quietly changes what it costs, and the overview of what any one product sells for is spread across several lists. Keeping prices on the product means there is one place to look.
Prices are set at variant level, so each size and colourway can carry its own price.
This is also what a price list means in Order41. You never build one as a separate object and then fill it. You assign prices on your products, and those assignments are the price list: whatever you have set up on a product is the valid pricing for that product, and the prices a given customer is served across your range add up to their price list. That is why there is no limit on how many you can have.
There are three ways to create prices in Order41:
-
Manually: Enter prices directly on the product in your workspace.
-
Import: Upload prices in bulk using the XLSX template. Prices import at variant level, the same level they are set at.
-
Integrations: Sync prices through connected systems or the API.
To manage or create prices, go to Products and open the product you want to price.
Each price you add to a product is assigned to one of the following:
-
A currency: every customer whose currency matches sees this price.
-
An individual customer: for a negotiated key-account price.
-
A group of customers: for example distributors, independent retailers, or one export market.
-
A drop: so the same product can carry a different price depending on which drop it is being ordered from.
Because a price can be scoped to a drop, the same customer can see two different prices for the same product in the same currency. That is the case you want when you still hold stock from last season at the old price while the new season sells at the new one: both prices live on the product, and the drop decides which applies.
A product can carry several prices at once, so more than one can apply to the same customer. The most specific one wins, in this order:
1.
An individual customer price. Always the highest priority.
2.
A customer group price.
3.
The price for the customer's currency.
An individual price always beats a group price and a currency price, so giving one account its own number is all it takes to carve that account out of its group. The rest of the group keeps the group price.
You set the exact price in each currency you sell in. Order41 never converts between currencies, so a €49 product is $55 and £45 because you chose those numbers, not $52.92 because of this morning’s exchange rate.
That means prices only change when you change them. What a buyer reads on a linesheet is what they order at and what they are invoiced for, and you decide when to review a currency, for example once a season, rather than an exchange rate deciding daily.
If no price applies to a customer, because there is no price in their currency and no individual or group price assigned to them, that customer sees no price for the product.
This is intentional rather than an edge case. You should not sell to a customer before deciding what they pay, and a customer should never see a price that was not meant for them. A missing price is a prompt to set one.
